I was looking into getting this game from the US Store, since it seems to be blocked from large parts of Europe. I was wondering if the version of the game from the US store only has the English Language available or if it also comes with the original German Text/Voices etc., does anyone know? The second one starts when a guard asks you to guard the harbor while he sleeps, but I don't remember if you could get this immediately in the beginning.

I agree. Play them in release order: Drakensang first and then The River of Time. That is because The River of Time is mostly loved by people who really like the game world from the P&P Role Playing System. But for players who don't know the P&P system the first one is often way better because it's longer, more awesome boss fights, more awesome monsters and dungeons, more quests, way better If you want to try it, look on both this forum and the Drakensang 2 - Phileasson's Secret forum here and copy down all the ways people have said to make it work. Then get the game and try the various methods.

In the first Drakensang plants are limited and since you cannot go back to certain areas you should gather every single plant you can find. - Quests: In "The River of Time" most quests can be done later. In the first Drakensang you have to do all the quests in an area or otherwise you'll fail them.

I followed all the steps in the troubleshooting section and I am still having the same problem. I have tested about 10 other games and none of them are giving me this message.

I have recently been playing the River of Time and managed to get to Hammerberg. I am doing the get the vote quests and while doing Captain Rumpo's quest of cheering his friend up, I think I have run into a bug.
